3 Ways on How to Get Over Your Ex

A very good friend of mine called this morning, still sobbing from a breakup that happened weeks ago. Eh naman kasi, di mapigilang i-stalk ang Facebook profile ng naudlot na pag-ibig. I couldn't really understand what she was talking because all I could hear was her sulking...getting choked with her words while crying painfully. </3 (ansakit mainlove sa maling tao. hahaaaay) I wish I could fly to New Jersey and hug her. Ummm I'm not actually the best person to give love advice and apparently, I might be saying good words but I think I don't have the credibility...yet. HAHAHA.

Okay, so girls and boys I'm sharing to you the [hopefully] helpful things to stop beating yourself up from obsessing over your ex's profile.

1. Cut off in real life = cut off online. We're talking a cold-turkey social media separation here. I didn't say permanently, but friend, I guess you really need this separation too.

2. It's time to wipe that slate clean once and for all. You might say that “I leave everything as is because it’s silly to just pretend that a certain person was never a part of your life in a significant way at some point,” okay I get your point that you might want to hold onto years' worth of romantic failure riddled throughout your Facebook profile -- old pictures, wall posts, comments, messages but I think there's a discreet way to do that. Ever heard of "Download Facebook Profile"? And hey, don't forget to untag. And do you know how awkward it is for your "new found love" to see/read chummy cheesy singtamis ng wine, singtatag ng sunshine palitan conversations of you and your ex years ago? Haha

3. Unfriend. "Hey that's the same as #1!" Oo nga. Kelangan kong ulitin para matauhan ka koya/ateeh! Okay now this is a tough one and most probably a butt-hurt person would normally first do therefore you don't want to be tagged as "bitterella". But as long as you're not 100% cool referring her/him as your "good friend" and still call him/her as your "ex" then, I don't think it's not worth getting those slight stabs (singsakit ng kagit ng langgam...mga 1 million na langgam) every time he/she pops in your newsfeed or notifications.

Haaaay nako. Gugmang giatay. I really wish you don't need to do those painful stuff written above in the future. I mean, not anymore. This bible verse has been my mantra for a year now, and I hope this will help you too not to make biga-biga (landi/flirt) hastily. Hahaha. Tagalog para intense, "Pinagbibilinan ko kayo, alangalang sa mga usang lalake at babae sa parang, na huwag ninyong pukawin, o gisingin man ang aking pagsinta, hanggang sa ibigin niya." Song of Solomon 2:7

Pwede na pang Elite Daily or Thought Catalog. Hahaha
